Join our student for a walk to school. Here is how it works:
- We will meet at the Food Lion parking lot at 7:20.
- We will leave at 7:30.
Why is Stanford participating? Walk to School Day is a simple activity with tremendous benefits:
- To experience the most accessible, enjoyable, and effective exercise – walking!
- To create a cleaner environment – fewer cars mean cleaner air.
- To teach pedestrian safety and identify safe routes to school.
- To raise awareness of good or bad walking conditions in our community.
- Local community leaders, parents, and children will spend valuable time together.

Speaking about the environment and including the price of gas, I wish someone would organize a carpooling system and correlate it to where the students live. Has anyone every thought about this like me?
